Paul Casey wins Porsche European Open after dramatic final day

After coming on top of a congested leaderboard at the Porsche European Open, paul Casey claimed his first European Tour title in five decades.
The 42-year-old was joined instantly leaders Bob MacIntyre and by Austrian Bernd Wiesberger and Bernd Ritthammer under par with three holes remaining through an orgasmic finale in Green Eagle Golf Courses in Hamburg.
Casey’s adventure came to the fore following a birdie putt from 35 feet at the 16th was the turning point as he carded a finish to claim his European Tour victory – his first as the KLM Open in 2014.
“I get emotional at every success however this year has been so fantastic,” said Casey, who dedicated the trophy into former champion Gordon Brand Jnr following his death at age 60 final month.
