Miami (OH) vs Ohio State: NCAAF Week 4 Betting Picks and Game Predictions

Don’t know about you, but I’m getting tired of all of the teams in college football playing cupcakes each week. I suggest, No. 1 Clemson hosts Charlotte this week along with No. 2 Alabama will crush Southern Miss — check out my preview of that one.
Much the same in Columbus on Saturday as Ohio State looks for its straight win within an in-state competitor, and I will guarantee you that’s going to occur from Miami of Ohio. OSU hasn’t lost to a different school by the Buckeye State. The pancakes are 5-0 all time against Miami of Ohio, winning the last meeting 56-10 at 2012 (OSU was down 3-0 after one quarter).
The highest-ranked staff that Miami of Ohio has ever beaten was in 1986 when it knocked off No. 8 LSU 21-12. The RedHawks last defeat a ranked team in 2012 when fellow Mid-American Conference school Ohio was No. 23 and Miami won 23-20.
Miami of Ohio has dropped to a Big Ten team, falling 38-14 in then-No this year. 20 Iowa. Last week, Miami got out at Cincinnati to a lead but fell its 14th directly in that competition, 35-13. Miami 420-207 was outgained by cincinnati.
You may recognize the name of the RedHawks’ quarterback: Gabbert. That might be Brett Gabbert, the brother of present copy QB Blaine Gabbert. Brett became the first true freshman to begin a season opener.
He’s completed 59.7 percent of his passes for just 481 yards at the three games with 2 touchdowns and a pick. Miami also offers Oakland Raiders GM Mike Mayock to the team’s nephew. That could be Luke, a receiver with three catches for 65 yards.
Miami was picked to finish second at the MAC East 2019 press preseason poll. It is 1-19 SU (10-10 ATS) in its previous 20 vs. the Big Ten. This success was in Northwestern in 2003.
Ohio State and Florida Atlantic, Cincinnati, also Indiana have played so far and conquered them each. In fact, OSU does not have a team currently ranked on the schedule until Oct. 26 vs. Wisconsin. Michigan and nebraska State are earlier that although both have fallen from the Top 25. OSU does not have a Power 5 competition on the schedule for the very first time since 1934. It had been assumed to play with TCU but that show got changed.
Last week at winning a 24th the Buckeyes rushed for 314 yards. JK Dobbins rushed for 193 yards on 22 carries with two touchdowns that were total. His 175 yards have been sixth-most in 1 half. Justin Fields proceeds his Heisman campaign by rushing for another and casting three scores. Fields leads the country in points responsible for (78) and points accountable for per match (26.0).
OSU has not permitted 300 yards of offense in a match and has outscored opponents 86-17 in the first half. That defense has allowed only 1 touchdown and one field goal the previous eight quarters and is 10th nationally in scoring defense in 10.1 points/game. That group allowed just 171 rushing yards the first 3 games, a 16-year low.
Ohio Statewinning series is second-best among Power 5 colleges behind Clemson’s 18. Obviously no question the Buckeyes win , but computer simulations possess the last score with a mean of 47-14. So we will take the things.
